How Our Program Results in Employer Savings
Savings are generated in a number of ways:
- Generic Drugs. Because 100% of discounts are passed through to the employer, average discounts for generic drugs are much deeper than in traditional programs where a portion of the generic discount is typically retained by the PBM
- Lower Cost Drugs. Because there are no hidden revenue streams such as from retaining a portion of drug rebates, there is an emphasis on promoting lower cost drug options such as through generic drug promotion and over-the-counter drugs
- Ongoing, Aggressive Pricing. Pass-through pricing occurs “real-time”, so as contracts are renegotiated and better pricing obtained, it is immediately implemented.
